Paralysis

Paralysis can occur in various forms, depending on the severity and location of the injury or condition affecting the nervous system. Monoplegia refers to paralysis of a single limb. Hemiplegia affects one side of the body and is commonly caused by a stroke. Paraplegia involves the loss of movement and sensation in both legs and sometimes the lower body, often due to spinal cord injuries. The most severe type, quadriplegia (or tetraplegia), results in paralysis of all four limbs and the torso, typically caused by significant damage to the spinal cord.
