Low Back Pain

Low Back Pain, also known as lumbar pain, refers to discomfort or pain in the lower part of the spine, just above the buttocks. It is one of the most common health problems affecting people of all ages and can be acute (short-term) or chronic (long-term).

Common Causes of Low Back Pain:

  1. Muscle or ligament strain – Due to lifting heavy objects, sudden movements, or poor posture.
  2. Herniated or slipped disc – When spinal discs bulge or rupture, pressing on nearby nerves.
  3. Degenerative disc disease – Discs wear down with age, causing pain.
  4. Sciatica – Pain radiating down the leg due to pressure on the sciatic nerve.
  5. Arthritis – Osteoarthritis can affect the lower spine joints.
  6. Spinal stenosis – Narrowing of the spinal canal causing nerve compression.
